REWIEW OF MOBILE PHONE POLICY

At the recent meeting of the Board of Management of the school on Monday 27/2/2012 there was a review of the policy surrounding mobile phones. It was decided that from now on pupils will not be allowed to have mobile phones in their possession during the school
day. Should pupils need to communicate with home for any reason they may do so via the main school phone in the office of the secretary. If parents wish to communicate with pupils during the school day this may also be achieved by use of the main school phone. From tomorrow 2/3/2012 any pupil caught in possession of a mobile phone will have it confiscated immediately. The phone will be returned to the parents/guardians on the first occasion. However subsequent infringements of the school policy will be a matter for decision by the school management and the BOM. This decision has been taken in the interests of the safety and wellbeing of all pupils attending our school. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated.
