  • Internet safety tip for June - When playing with other 'gamers' online encourage your child to select mute. This limits possible bad language & interaction with a stranger online.

Scoil Mhuire is a co-educational catholic primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Kildare & Leighlin diocese.

School staff consists of 22 full time teachers, 10 special needs assistants, secretary, caretaker & cleaning staff. The school aims to serve the primary educational needs of the pupils in the town and parish of Abbeyleix.

Overall our school aims to provide a caring learning environment, which facilitates the nurturing of each pupil's full educational potential. The achievement of this aim informs all of the planning processes and activities which occur in our school.
